weve had one of these stands out in the back yard for about 5 years. last year it was finally starting to look a bit grey from the weathered paint. so i spray painted it and it looks brand new again.

This seems like a really slick price for including the hammock stand.

One of those things was to waste money and I did it a couple of times.
Only lasted one session especially in North Texas winter/rain/sun weather and then straight to recycle.

I have this exact thing and it's decent. Worth $50 that's for sure.

I had a Kijaro brand hammock and it was a heavy disaster and pain in the butt. Love their chairs but the hammock got straight up trashed. I can't imagine a Walmart house brand holding up or being worth it's weight in any capacity. Do not be tempted to leave any of it out in the weather, word to the wise.

You shouldn't leave the hammock/fabric part outside... just the frame. the frame should last but paint will fade. I'm in North Texas too.

You can also always buy another hammock without frame.

It's not realistic to pack this up and travel with it easily but if you were only doing it a couple times a year it's fine. Doesn't take long to set up but it a little heavy. I'm obsessed with my hammock have had it 6 years now and only replaced the hammock once because my kids shredded it and the replacement hammock was about $20 on Amazon. I live in Colorado where it snows 5ft at a time and I've always kept it outside my frame is still in great shape

thank you, do you leave the frame outside and take the fabric off or leave the hammock as a whole outside?

I have one of the more heavy duty ones (450lb from Home Depot).

They are definitely not easy to break down and put away in that bag. Almost a 2 person job to break it down and put it away. I almost thought I was going to be able to break it down, throw it in the back of the car, and take it somewhere like beach, park, camping, etc. But no way that would be realistic.

Almost would be better to leave the structure outside, and just bring the hammock part inside when not in use.

I would recommend paying a bit more and getting a 450lb model. 250 isn't that much, what if you have 2 people in it, or have kids jumping and swinging each other in it. Better to get one that is overengineered to handle more weight than you think you need. Would hate for this thing to collapse with people in it.
