Best Answer: It's the same thing sold under a different brand. While Solis retains control of its products, the company is owned by Breville. So they are made in China like Breville."
I don't see that in their company history page, but if you look at the designs on Solis' website, they appear to be made in the same factory as Breville due to the design similarities. The fact that SCG is willing to sell them is a nod to them being good quality. They have a Barista Express knock-off on sale for $599 https://www.seattlecoff

seattle coffee gear has customers that buy stuff, and the item is not faulty, they're just like "nope not good enough" or "I don't like this or that feature back it goes!" It's what happens when rich people are not technical or gift buyers aren't on the same page with gift recipients
