The address of that "company", whose about us page seems to be for a different business, is a private home in Sacramento, with a phone number from Los Angeles, and email through gmail. I'm going to say NOT legit.

This seems like a good deal. Pretty minimal filler.
Of course it depends on what one is looking for, but this has more filler than sets like the 192 piece Dewalt set: 44 driver bits (the definition of filler), and 15 nut drivers and 28 hex keys (arguably filler)

I mean, I agree with you that the DWMT75049 is a superior set, but the cheapest I can find it is $155 right now. So, it's not really apples to apples. It's like apples to 50% more expensive, but better tasting apples.

Excessive bits are fillers. When the Kobalt and Craftsman have 60 bits and the Husky has 80 bits, 44 bits is a reasonable for DeWalt. Hex keys are never a "filler" as it is so important and used so much. Not sure why so many people call it a filler.
Every tool set should always have a driver, bits and nut drivers. Husky is silly to add so many bits but every tool set should absolutely have a driver, bits and nut drivers.
On top of that, the 192 piece DeWalt set has zero combination wrenches. You gotta have some of the very basic tools in a set especially if it is in a car trunk tool set.

That sets def better, I like that it has universal joint adapters too. But yeah, it's always more expensive, but I think I've seen it drop to around $100 before.
I have this kit in OP, got it years ago on a deal with a free item (maybe a laser line) for cheaper then this, but I've never seen a deal like that popup recently.
Just wanted to say I have kept it in my spare car for years and the car actually had some moisture leaking issues and this kit is still in decent condition all things considered. Bit of rust on some of the bit pieces (including the hex socket bits), but all the sockets are great. I've left the hex Allen wrench sets in the house, but I imagine they probably would have some rust if I didn't.

Scam for sure. No way they have 41 pages of actual DeWalt tools to sell so cheap and make a profit, and that's before even factoring their shipping costs they'd have to pay on top of that.
Maaaaaaybe they'd deep clearance one or two items they wanted to ditch, but all 41 pages of them? No way in hell man. If this was real I could literally buy their entire inventory at asking price and set up my own business selling that stuff and stilllllllll make a giant profit

You want the 192-pc Mechanic's set.

Absolutely no fillers except for allen keys, which are needed.
Yeah, it is more expensive, but you don't have to go looking for missing sockets.
I think the sweet spot price is $135 for the 192-pc set (if it ever drops that low). Pre-COVID it was seen at $120 or less.
