If I'm not mistaken, these are the all-time low retail prices I have seen reported on SlickDeals.
Big Joe I: $719 (Walmart online, this thread)
Big Joe II: $1299 (back in 2019, Atlanta Grill Company)
Big Joe III: $1715 (Walmart online, earlier this year)
Classic I: $480 (Walmart online, a few times this year)
Classic II: $669 (Amazon, expired last week)
Classic III: $1050 (Amazon, expired yesterday, all-time low)
Joe Jr: $349 (Walmart online, several times this year)
Very good price on the Big Joe I, and it's been replicated several times this year.
I did not bother to list Costco or Lowe's one-off clearance markdowns, since those are so YMMV and region-specific. Most of us never had a chance to get the Classic II for $399 at Costco last summer for example, since that was very warehouse-specific.
I suggest saving your favorite KJ model in the Amazon and Walmart apps and check daily over the next several weeks leading up to Black Friday. I could easily see Amazon bringing back the Classic II for $669 and Walmart with the Big Joe III at $1715 later this month (although man, that's a steep difference over this thread's Big Joe I).
This is going to be a great time to shop if you are looking specifically for a KJ.

What are the "must have" accessories for this?

I'll only use the Big Joe for brisket (or low and slow in general) and if I'm cooking for more people. I also have the rotisserie attachment so that's one more use for the Big Joe.
I like my big joe, don't get me wrong. I don't regret it at all and I'd prob still buy it now.
