Riding my 1070 till the wheels fall off.
Good price at sub 300. Debating holding off a few weeks since BF is around the corner
They're the exact same card, the 6750xt just has slightly higher clocks. You'd be lucky to see a 5% improvement in most games. Price would be the deciding factor between the two, and $295 is an awesome deal for a 6700xt.

$250 for a capable 12gig card because reasons. I want to live in your world of make believe.

You can get a super cool and shiny 4060 with 8gb for the same price if "new" is all that matters.
I do not live in a world of make believe. I think someone would be better off with a RX 7600 than a 6700xt. If you want to stay AMD and use last generation tech. It's the 6800xt. If you want to go the Nvidia route, you have to wait for the 4070 price to come down below $400.

Ok now we are back in the same world haha! I totally agree. In my media pc I have a 7600, and its great for the price. The problem is AMD has goofed having so many cards that perform close to each other, all priced the same. It seems people prefer the 6650xt over the 7600 even though it performs worse, then there is the 6600 at sub 200ish and this card for $70 more than the 7600/6650xt.

On the Nvidia side, its like they did not try this year, besides the 4070+. These cards refuse to go on sale.

Sub 300... is this the price we are waiting for?
I remember a few months ago I was told these would never be under $300 by several people. Looks like they were wrong.

Oh shit.. would it be really bad?
No. GPU's either work, or they don't. There's no real degradation of performance over time. The one thing you might want to watch out for is heat, which is why doing a thorough clean once you get it wouldn't be a bad idea. But it should be perfectly fine.

the powercolor fighter version for ~250 used on amazon seems like a pretty delicious deal if you ask me.

You're only in the same world if you can find a RX 7600 at ~$200. Otherwise you're making up dreams. If someone wants to pay $250-300 for a 6700 XT performance, nothing is wrong with that.

I think it might be the time, my faithful 1080 TI is showing serious signs of age due to the poorly optimized games out now so your 1070 might be even worse for new "AAA" games

Edit: typo

I've got a 2080 super....this seems like a side grade at best?
I would agree with you, but you're getting downvoted for some reason. 6700 XT is a little bit less performance than a 3070. Closer to a 3060 Ti.

Who, who would be better off? Someone playing games at 1080p with mid settings on games at least a few years old? 7600 release is almost as big a joke as the 4060, noone should buy those cards for gaming.

If we go by what you are saying. Nobody should buy a 6700xt either. With driver maturity, the RX 7600 will be the value play if and when it hit $200. Review sites never seem to revisit new graphics cards 6 months after launch with new driver updates. The 7600 is a placeholder card.

If we are being honest, the 6800xt is the only RDNA 2 card worth considering. The 7800xt is the card people considering the 6800xt should be looking at. I do not know why people think the 6700xt is a good card. They get hung up on the 12GB of ram.

Prices have not come back far enough down to earth. It's better to sit out their generation or wait until prices come down significantly.

This isn't like buying a jacket at Kohl's .. Finding any break on MSRP when it comes to GPUs right now, is like finding a needle in a haystack. ANY deal whatsoever is far and few in between.

I'm at the point now where i'm just going to wait through january 1st for any end of year sales/old gen deals but i've been waiting for over a month to complete a build (trying to deal hunt in the meantime) and beyond Ram, HDD, Case, etc. the deals are dry as a desert, especially for Intel CPUs and Nvidia & AMD GPUs
I'm always mixing up jackets and graphics cards, but even so, $14 off doesn't make it slick. Even in a market where discounts are rare.

GTX 970 still holding strong, had to roll back drivers due to Nvidia making performance worse on newer updates.

If you are getting this card, you can add Microsoft Gamepass to your account (3 month access to hundreds of games) for $15.
