No joke. I've waited several years for this to have a deal. Sadly I ended up buying the kitchen aid version because I was tired of waiting. Don't hesitate and grab this deal if you're considering this device.
Anyone know if this is easier to clean than a comparable Cuisinart? I have given up using that one because it takes longer to clean than chopping and grating by hand. Never buying anything again that comes with a pipe cleaner for cleaning.
I've purchased two Ninja gizmos over the last two years and both have died. I'm not saying that $400 for a food processor is justified (for some), but this is no Ninja product, apples to oranges!

Seems to be an early black Friday discount.

Breville.com, sur la table, and other websites have it for the same price.

Some of those websites have cash back and accept PayPal (5% quarterly chase freedom bonus).

Looks like it came down to the same price most places. QVC has code HOLIDAY20 for $20 off 40, didn't check if it works on it but worth a shot.

Sorry for the noobie food question, but I'm getting more into cooking.
Would this be a worthwhile purchase if I already have a Vitamix 5200?

I own this. It is an absolute beast of a machine. The build quality feels like it would last a lifetime. My favorite blade is the French fry blade. It's amazing how effortlessly it will go through a whole potato.

It comes with a brush for cleaning. The slicing and grating blades can be a bit challenging to clean but totally worth it IMO. I've had mine over a year and use it multiple times a week. I paid around $500 for the standard 16 cup version, without the peel and dice kit, so this is a steal.

Yes. A blender has its purpose, but this processor is more like its name implies: a "sous chef". It cuts prep time like crazy and performs many tasks a blender cannot.

It could in the small chute (the chute with the pusher in and cylinder out). I use it for carrots, celery, etc., and it does a great job.

I appreciate that information. Sounds like a no go for me.

Reading up if this food processor is something I need. I have very good knives which I enjoy cutting with, but sometimes I just dont have time. I've decided that I need to meal prep on weekends to save time for weekdays so that means there will be tons of prep work in one day. This could also open up many new recipes where it would be too much work with manual cutting.

$400 for food processor is very overkill.

You can buy simple food processor attachments for existing blenders and kitchenaid mixer for occasional use.

Light duty $50(Ninja) standalone is good cooking n prepping in parallel. Cuisinart Pro 11 Cup makes pro grade for $130

I just bought the Ninja Professional Plus Food Processor for $70 delivered from Kohl's. 1000 watts and gets similar ratings.

Time will tell.
