The Sony A95K is an incredible TV for most uses. It looks remarkable in dark rooms because it displays deep blacks without any blooming around bright objects, and HDR content looks remarkable thanks to its vivid colors and bright highlights with near-perfect tone mapping. It's impressive for watching TV shows and excellent for watching sports in well-lit rooms because it has incredible reflection handling, but any bright light source also causes the black levels to raise. It's incredible for gaming as it has a near-instantaneous response time, variable refresh rate (VRR) support, and HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. Even though its input lag is higher than other TVs, it's still low enough for gaming.

I am so tempted on this deal, but I'd have to return the samsung and get refunded my gift cards and then the a95k would probably be off sale by then.
edit: also samsung doesn't support dolby vision or dts audio.
edit2: oops. I kept thinking this was the A95L. The A95K is NOT the best tv. The L is. The A95K is 1st gen panel, the 77s90c is 2nd gen. The A95K is NOT going to be noticeably better, other than in processing and that's about it.

I recently bought the Denon AVR-S970H to pair with my QN95C because it has three additional HDMI 2.1 inputs. I originally connected my XSX to the receiver because I ran out of HDMI 2.1 ports on my TV. I previously had my gaming PC, Apple TV 4K, PS5, and AVR connected to my TV.
I constantly ran into issues where my Xbox would switch from 4K120, VRR with ALLM to 4K60. Whenever I would try to switch it back, I'd receive the message that 4K120 isn't support which would lead to countless troubleshooting. Switching HDMI 2.1 cables, changing and updating settings on my receiver, changing settings on the Xbox, and finally changing settings on my TV. Sometimes I'd get it to work, and sometimes it wouldn't. I finally said screw it, and connected my XSX directly to my TV while my Apple TV 4K is connected directly to my receiver. Those issues aren't present with my other consoles connected directly to the TV. My XSX is my least used console, but I keep it around for various Game Pass that aren't available on PC Game Pass and Rock Band.
This may not be indicative of everyone's experience with HDMI 2.1 receivers or switches, but it's quite frustrating. If I relied on a receiver for constant HDMI 2.1 passthrough, I'd have to try multiple receivers and hoped they worked. For my money, I'll always lean towards TV that have 4x HDMI 2.1 ports.
