Sorry, I meant to say that I assigned the GC as a "gift" rather than "to me". I doubt that had anything to do with it but that was a change I made for the second try which ended up working. You definitely need to log into your Kroger account to get Fuel Points. I also successfully stacked with the PayPal/Chase quarterly 5x offer, but in the process checking out the first time I needed to switch my PayPal account default payment method and I thought maybe that had messed things up. The second time through I already had my Chase freedom card assigned is the default. It all could have been coincidence, but what I can tell you is that the second attempt worked when my first one failed. It took the better part of an hour for them to approve the second attempt and email the gift card though.

Harris Teeter (owned by Kroger) sometimes does 200 bonus fuel pts in addition to 4x. So get a $25 GC for a net cost as low as $14.50 if buying 35 gal of fuel. I bring my spare gas cans when fueling to take full advantage!

I found it interesting that they gave me 800 points, i.e. 4X $200 vs. 4X $180. Now I need to get another gift card to reach the 1000 points to get $1 off 35 gallons.

I have HT near me so how do i link my harris teeter card so i get fuel points ? the gift card website is different, does it let you link to your HT card when you are signing up on the gift card website.

Download the kroger app, and sign in using your HT credentials. At one time I had a separate Kroger account but those credentials stopped working earlier in the year and the HT credentials worked on both. I am primarily an HT customer.

HT and Kroger apps now look essentially identical, and you will see the Fuel Points balance near the top, swipe left. I would also clip the digital coupon for 4x points on GCs before buying it, although that may be for in-store only.

I bought the GC yesterday, both the email with the link to Blackhawk and the Fuel Points appeared in 10 min

And people like me who just go for the GC discount. I don't have a Kroger anywhere nearby but I need a washer and $40 is better than nothing.
