Just to chime in. This does help with hair quality and it boosts hair shaft and makes it thicker and lively giving thinning areas denser look. However, be clear that it helps hair (quality) that's already growing. That is, it provides ingredients to hair follicle (hair factory) to generate and nourish hair. If your hair follicles are not working (factory machines are dead), then this ingredient will likely not help as this is only raw ingredient, not follicle revivor. In other words, if you have genetic MPB with dead follicles, this may not help. Genetic MPB has other complex mechanism that needs to be dealt with, for hair follicles to become vital again.

This definitely enlarges hair an thickens nails. I could tell when my beard was still soft hair because it enlarged my hair which enlarged the pores in a couple days an waxing would make blood flow. I use my nails as tools an thats obvious too. I don't have hair loss problems cause I have a bad attitude problem when people stress me out so the stress goes away, I avoid places that make me feel uncomfortable; I avoid steroids, an any other thing that has cause me to wake up the next morning an notice my hair had changed; so I can't comment on if it works for regrowth. Though I did just suggest what obvious underlying conditions were.

I also tend to use one of the hair/nails/skin mixtures with collagen an oils in it. An due to how much it toughens my beard hair an grows the nails I might not take the full amount.
