If you're a cat owner, you know the struggle. Cat food prices have more than doubled since the pandemic.
Friskies is also low-quality crap. And some cats require special diets; my cats need the urinary food, as an example. Other cats may need something for hairballs.

I got excited because in the description it lists it as grain-free but it's definitely not based on the ingredients. One of the questions was about this was:

Q: Why does this come up in a search for grain-free food, when one of the ingredients is " whole grain corn"? misleading to say the least!

A: We're sorry about the confusion. We will get with our team to correct this issue. Thank you for making us aware of this situation.

Purina's "team" must have a helluva backlog because that was 6 years ago

Yes cat owner and feed my cat Friskies for years. Their 16lb bag is $15 normal price.

Purina One is not high quality, top of the line of course. But IMO it's also the best value. Better ingredients, more highly rated by various sites than various low end/entry level brand lineups. But also not a huge markup over the entry level stuff.

My cats throw up Friskies within minutes of eating it. Even the outdoor cats got sick. It's poison!

a couple quick tips to save a new owner some research time, if anyone cares..

in general, the worst / cheapest wet food is better for a cat than the most expensive dry food

if it must be dry food, the higher protein percentage and the less grain / flour / corn gluten meal etc, the better. this is usually a losing battle since dry food needs binders and even more preservatives, so again ANY wet food is better for your feline friend (dry food should be fine as snacks here and there).

there's arguments for dry food (cleans teeth, much cheaper) but they're pretty weak arguments compared to the downsides of a dry only diet (general health, urinary, dehydration)

but, anecdotally some cats live to be 18 on dry only diets with little health issues. so up to the owner, but i would just load up on the next fancy feast sale 🙂

And here I thought I was the only one who noticed such a thing. Amazon doesn't even sell 30 pound bags for a reasonable price anymore.

I noticed when ever I buy Friskies, my cats take hours to finish their food, they can't stand Friskies. I stopped buying that brand after a few bags.

Most cat owners will have a "my cats threw up" story. It's what cats do. Especially if you change their food or treats. Your cat puking doesn't make it poison.

It has an odor to it like it's spoiled.
