I see a lot of people vouching for Govee. And, I agree with some aspects.

But, my biggest downside with Govee is that multiple curtains cannot be grouped into a larger, single image for mapping. For example, if you have three curtains plugged in, all three would project the same image. Whereas, Twinkly can take multiple curtains and make it as one large image. That for me makes Twinkly the winner IMO.
FWIW, I have both the Twinkly curtain and the Govee curtain. I prefer the Govee set.

I've attempted to by Twinkly lights twice from this company. Both times they emailed to say the product was no longer available so the order was cancelled, yet both times there was a pending transaction in my account. It disappeared, but that's not right.
How do you think merchant processors should work? The order should submit WITHOUT validating/authorizing the payment method?

There must be something more to these than what the photos on the listing show. I assume you can do fancy things with the lights based on the price, but what exactly?

Seems like you can group curtains, but the available preset animations goes down dramatically.

I bought at best buy for this price, and it didn't even last one day before all LEDs
stopped working. I have had (4) twinkly flex and 3 out of 4 stopped working. Those lasted longer than the curtain but well under a year. Twinkly was good about replacing them (the flex). I just returned the curtain since it was only one day, and I will probably not buy twinkly products again since 4 out of 5 products stopped functioning in less than a year
I've been researching Twinkly and there seems to be too many people saying they don't last very long. I love the concept, but I need to know they will last before shelling out the cash.

Some extreme examples... but easy to do.
We throw on try, use ap to map lights and them play with them. You. Can mkae groups, etc.
We use ours inside and have not had any problems.

We have some dumb grovee items. I have not seen grovee lights that are as good as these. But from comments I am going to look. Always open for product improvements. Twinkly always cost more. If you go with twinkly try to find on sale otherwise $$$$.even on sale $$.

just chiming in to say i price matched these to best buy a few weeks ago with no issues

bought three of the normal lights plus one curtain

the curtain kinda sucks, it's just not that many lights and i feel like i could have DIY'ed a better set of lights by just stringing them up and down a fence i have. i'm keeping them but may put them in my daughter's room or something.

Just speaking to the reliability of Twinkly (not the price point of THIS deal or its niche use)...I've been using twinkly for about 5 years now. They haven't had any issues for me with indoor or outdoor use in the northeast US. (Still getting firmware updates on the oldest sets) As long as you protect the controller and treat the lights gently they will last you. If creating holiday experiences is your thing (not just casual holiday lighting), Twinkly is in a sweet spot for price and function. Their app used to be buggy but its runs fairly smooth now. Step up from these and you're into arduino projects and show player controllers where time is the real cost.

I've had three of the curtain lights set up in my sun room windows (inside) for about 4 years. I would put them up and then take them back down a couple of times the first year and then just left them up and running on a schedule after that. No issues so far.

Sounds like they both kind of suck. One has way less LEDs but can do mapping, the other has over twice the amount of LEDs but can't do any mapping. I'll wait for a product that addresses both needs.
