Upgrade to a Eufy. So much better. Your videos are stored locally rather than Amazon's cloud. Who knows what they are doing with people's videos
No subscription required. If you want the videos stored inside your home you can get their "homebase 3" device and it will beam all your videos to that device. So if you had multiple Eufy cameras all the videos can be stored on the homebase 3, You just add a sata storage device (sata SSD drive or a sata laptop hard drive). So theoretically your storage can be massive. Their Dual video doorbells are awesome. Lets you see so much more.
Were Eufy devices sending data to China and Anker denied it in the first place and then admitted that they did it intentionally? I like Anker products as chargers/cables/power banks but I don't trust their "security" devices. I'm Chinese and I know what "security" means in China.

The spec isn't clear - does it have a swappable battery?

Hopefully never. A company that makes security cameras lying about where that data lands is entirely insecure, and defeats the entire purpose of a security camera...

I'm not seeing any indication that the Homebase 2 has expanded storage capability. Looks like the Homebase 3 does though.
That's what I meant to say. Homebase 3.

Amazon has the same deal for $10 more. Just saying for those that that might prefer easier returns,

Eufy is great since no subscription. Ring is better with notifications and lesser false alerts. I run both. My eufy detects car lights, trash can and sometimes the trees as people. That's already turned down sensitivity and still have that problem. Most of the time I don't even bother checking my eufy alerts only my ring.
How do you access the alert and locally stored video when you are away from home?

Does the Blink Sync Module 2 do the same thing? Or do you have to have a subscription for that also?

Yeah that's a big reason I'm sticking with Ring. Their AI is best in business. For obvious reasons.
