If you have EPP through Samsung the 65" Q80C is just $50 more.
From what I understood when researching the gap from 60 to 70 is more significant then the gap from 70 to 80.

Quote from Mr.PDX :
Thoughts on this 65" Q70C for $850 vs 65" Q80C for $999? Is there a noticeable difference from Q70C to Q80C?
I was debate as well q70c, q80c, qn85c and sony x90l. Even with samsung education discount, I am leaning forward to Sony x90l from costco because of better review. In case you guys purchase from samsung here is the code for 2 year protection: LISSRLQRDM (work for qn85c and qe1c)

Is this TV's image much better than the mini LED TCL deal? I get that this one has a better processor- but I would be using an nVidia Shield and speakers for the audio in both scenarios, so I'm a little torn

Well, that hisense will die faster as well. Not gonna touch China stuff.
TVs don't die anymore. They just get outdated.
