It's sort of like they tried to make a better d2, but used fortnite shop as the base game and added d3 from launch to it. I am quite upset I spent the money and time on this but hope this posts helps others(I played beta through s1 for reference)
It's still experiencing the snowball effect from shitty activision development. But it's getting better every patch. D2 didn't soar until LOD and to a much lesser extent neither did D3 til ROS. D4 has amazing potential.

But 40% off the absurd $70 starting price is still more than I'm willing to spend. $30 would be nice, but I may be able to eat $35. Ultimately the longer I wait, the better the game will be by the time I eventually get it. They've already fixed tons of stuff since it was released.
The number of players/streamers/viewers and how much it tanked (90%+ decline since release) should tell you how quickly the game fizzled. Blizzard needs to get its sh!t together.
After I read the reviews, I kind of relate to it regarding Starfield. It opens up with so much potential, but after a while you notice it's very redundant and lacks depth. It has a lot of potential and is a good framework/platform for tons of more content, but the content isn't really there. I'm guessing D4 is on a similar boat.
This is the better option by the way because you would get a copy of the game for both PC and Steam Deck as opposed to the "official" way which would be buying a Steam Deck copy and a PC copy.
