most, if not all, places wont let you do that. its to prevent fraud (theft of CC), once the gift card money is used to purchase another gift card then the original source of payment is lost.

the exact wording of the digicoupon is "$20.00 off your basket when you buy $100.00 of Best Buy Cards"

so this means that you still have to buy the $100 best buy gift card, but you get $20 off your other groceries.

can we buy another $20 gift card as technically it would be in basket ? or this would not work ?

Thanks for posting this. My phone number/PIN couldn't be verified so the cashier brought over someone for help, then eventually the store manager and he pushed it through (even though he kept getting an error). But hey, I'm grateful, this worked out great!

You do not need to buy an extra card or groceries. Just the 100 in GC for that store. It takes 20 off of the GC purchase.

I just logged into my account and the deal is different. It is buy 100 in GC and get a free 20 HEB GC.

this is not correct. if "your basket" includes only a $100 best buy gift card and nothing else, your total is $80. I bought two of them and bought a bunch of 4k blu rays that are on sale for super low prices and got extra super low prices Smilie

btw: this offer expired yesterday. now they have home depot, lowes, vudu, and other cards. but now if you get a $100 card you get a free $20 HEB card.

Yeah but lots of people (including me) tend to have issues when scanning their app's barcode at their registers and won't take off the proper discount off,in the past one of the supervisors who was called to help me kept interpreting "your basket" as other items in your basket and of course once you get one of those there's no point arguing
