Spot on the floor... sure get some solvent mixed in a cup with water. Poor it on suck it up, poor some more suck it up, etc. Probably do a decent job. Now try doing that to the side of your couch. You now need a spray bottle of some kind, which works as well. Want to do the steps? You need one hand on the shop vac to keep it from falling down the steps, other hand to spray, another to vacuum it up.
This makes it super simple to move from spot to spot and clean virtually any surface.
