I miss the cheap tubs of BF Rayovacs...

I will NEVER EVER EVER buy Rayovac batteries again....way too many leaky ones that ruined electronics (door locks, garage door openers, firestick remotes, wii controllers, about anything you can imagine).... Horrible batteries. I thought I would miss them too but what I won't miss is leaky battery acid everywhere...

Not sure about the CR reports review but I tend to trust real world Amazon reviews and Reddit experiences more (relabeled Duracells) as they all say that Kirkland batteries leak more often than not and tend to destroy the devices they're put into. I can also confirm this from some personal experiences. Will pay the price difference here to avoid the high rate of leakage.

After Duracells ruined so many things I switched to rechargeables for years. The problem was on things like seasonal decor with LEDs they needed to be recharged way too often. I went with Energizers and was really happy with them. Until the last batch of Energizer Max I bought earlier this year. Nearly all leaked. These were relatively fresh batteries. Not left in anything more than a month.

When that happens soak a few qtips in white vinegar and it will dissolve clean it. Maybe use a baggie to hold and dispose vinegar battery qtips or disposable cup. It's a good way to make them like new again. Works well.

I've been strictly running rechargeables for 15+ years. I currently have about 50 AA and 30 AAA of various brands. The nice thing about rechargeable batteries is that they don't leak. The IKEA Ladda's have been performing really well in my cellular trail cams the last couple years.

I had a few Rayovac batteries leak and ruin my 36 pack. I filed a warranty claim and they sent me a check for the full retail price. Good customer service.
