Some of ya'll have some wild expectations lol.

It's a 5.1 with true 4 speaker setup, has front lcd display and Dolby Atmos. All for $129. When it comes to soundbars, with exception of the Vizio M-series 5.1.x (which costs over 2x), you're not going to notice much difference between all of them.

Price to feature ratio on this is pretty tough to beat. If I can get 2 or 3 years worth of decent sound from this, I'd consider it a win.

Thanks for the post, OP! Just got one for the extra 65" in the bonus room.
Mine just got delivered 45 mins ago. Swapped out my Samsung HW-T510 2.1 in a few minutes and didn't have to press any of the pairing buttons - sub and surround speakers worked immediately.

I don't have optimal placement for the rears , they're just on two side tables left and right of my chair - blocked by chair and far from ear level. Still an enormous improvement and I can definitely tell certain audio is coming from the rears during certain scenes. Probably easy to wow me since i've never had more than 2.1. Subwoofer on the hisense is a definite improvement, too.

This is the most theater-like sound i've ever experienced at home so that's cool. I really bought it to see if it improved voice clarity. All dialogue seems to be coming from in front of me watching Netflix's 2022 film, Troll… but I haven't had to adjust the volume between talking scenes and action scenes once. I got so used to this with my old sound bar that I just left the remote in my lap. TL;DR i'm super happy with the result and the price. The only thing I lost was the volume # on my tv (Samsung tv with samsung bar did this) but that doesn't matter at all since this hisense has a display on the front.
The issue for me with the hisense is you can't adjust the levels of any individual channel. So if the vocals are too quiet in the center channel, well you can't raise the volume of just the center channel.

I'd like to see a review but I'm always worried about the dialog being too quiet so I usually want to boost the center channel on my receiver setup. Curious how this handles the center channel and dialog/voices.

Has anyone else who purchased had the issue of the wireless speakers and sub losing connection over and over? I had to manually pair them initially to get them to pair at all, and now anytime I play anything that is NOT surround sound a message scrolls on the sound bar (I think it says "SW CLEAN") and then they are no longer paired at all, no matter what I try to play for content and I have to manually pair them again. I see others have had this issue in the one star reviews...wish I had bothered to read those before buying. Anybody had this issue and found a fix for it?

EDIT: After playing around a bit more, I can see that a message that says "SW PAIRING SHORT" scrolls across the sound bar when stopping any surround content, even just pausing a movie, then stopping that movie brings up the "SW CLEAN" message, and that's when the surround speakers and sub become disconnected. They will then not connect again unless I manually pair them. I cannot find any reference to those messages in the manual anywhere, or in any internet searches. It's as if these are some sort of internal diagnostic codes that I'm not even supposed to be seeing (why have them displayed on the unit if there is no description of what they mean anywhere?). I think I'm just going to have to return the whole thing, which is such a pain because I just got everything installed throughout my living room. Ugh.

Returned them. Does anyone know of true wireless rear speakers for a good price? Didn't realize the rear speakers had to be wired together to work. Would not work in the space I'm putting it in.

I'll check later to see if the TV has a pending update, but even if it does, I don't see how anything on the TV side should be causing the sound bar to stop pairing with the surrounds and sub. Not sending sound to them maybe, but I can't see why they would lose connection completely, and not be able to reconnect without doing it manually because of anything on the TV side.

Anyone facing display issue on soundbar when you press volume buttons + or -? For me it only displays as "V 25" instead of "VOL 25" - I see letter O and L is not displaying on Soundbar unit. Is this issue with others too?

Is it impacting the functionality? Or just display on LEDs of sound bar?

For truly wireless rear speakers, It would have to be the Sony A9 but I think it needs to be plugged in or the A7000/5000 with the sub and the RS5 rear speakers. The RS5 runs on batteries and lasts about 10 hrs.

A good sounding 2.1 system with good Atmos/DTSX emulation for surround will beat a bad sounding 5.1

Im looking for a soundbar and that Vizio does have great reviews, def on my watch list now, thx
Real up firing speakers vs fake atmos generally not favorable. The hisense is worth a shot at that price

Seems like a great deal for a 5.1.2 with great reviews.

I think if you connect with HDMI and have the eARC hdmi on the tv connected to the sound bar, the Samsung remote should control the volume on the soundbar. Have you given that a try?
Oh, that works - I just meant that the Samsung TV showed the numerical value of the volume I just selected on its screen when I was using the Samsung sound bar. Now it just shows a little popup that says receiver and no # value for the volume. That's fine though as I said, because the Hisense bar shows the volume value on its face. Remote still controls volume on this bar just fine through arc
