Rarely see the Festool reconditioned page have multiple products in the same day let alone 3 pages of various listings all at once. Prices are still high, many luke warm. I only own a couple festool and think their premium can be justified if tool is used often. CT15E looks like a reasonable price, as does the planex gen 1 if you're in the market for those. The rest, well that's up for you to decide.

I've linked the main post to homepage sorted by Best Selling [festoolrecon.com], below are the top 10 listings from the assortment as of posting:

$419.50 Drywall Sander Planex Easy LHS-E 225 EQ USA [festoolrecon.com]
$300.00 Dust Extractor CT SYS CLEANTEC [festoolrecon.com] OOS
$543.20 Dust Extractor CLEANTEC CT MIDI I HEPA [festoolrecon.com]

Another tip for the extractors, my favourite auction site has dust bags with sewn in zippers making it a more affordable option for reusable bags than the OEM version. You could also modify your own by cutting the bag and creating a PVC clip (pipe with slit cut thru) on the end and roll it up. I would likely stick to larger pickups for this but I'd imagine it would still hold up quite well for finer particulates for at least a couple reuses.

Also google on compatible tub size swaps, for example I believe it was the ct15/ct25/midi sharing top ends so you can essentially buy the 'complete' ct15 and later on a ct25 bottom replacement tub from festool and essentially enlarge your capacity for a larger project or when mobility is less desired. I believe the ct26/36/48 are also interchangable amongst each other but not with the 15/25/midis.

Adding a garage storage is also possible for the models which do not have it.

Online you can also find adapter plates that modify the sustainers clips to other various mfg stack configs. Sys to tstak is what I'm particularly interested in but you may find many others out there.
I have had the CT15E for approx 1 year now. As a hobbyist wood worker, I just hook it up to an individual tool(hand sander, small table saw, router table, circular saw) via my Rockler cyclone dust separator and it does it's thing. For folks thinking of using a cyclone device with it, I do think it's at its limit for vacuum power. It picks up sawdust just fine, but if I use my floor sweep hose, it works, but you can tell it loses some suction power. I know these are made to not need the cyclone unit, but I had one with my prior vacuum and I just kept it with the CT15. I really like not needing to empty the vacuum or cleaning the filter as much.

I do not have any Festool bluetooth tools, so the lack of this option didn't bother me. The hose is definitely not as nice as the anti-static hose on the other models, but since I don't get full time use out of it, it will be fine. However, I did purchase
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075QFK...tails&th=1
to protect the hose. I bought the 1.25" size, but should have bought the 1" size instead for a snugger fit - not a big deal. Lack of easy hose storage on this is not a big deal either for me.

If you do need systainer to attach to the top, you can by the "garage" for it. Then it will store the hose and allow systainer attachment. The part number is 204717 and it runs about $75. Other Festool Garage part #'s will not work with the CT15. The CT15 also does not have the wheel lock.

I were to expand my occasional side hobby to using my shop more, I would go with a dust collection system with gated hoses/pipes. I am glad I started with the lowest priced unit just to get my feet wet with Festool. All in all, I really like it for what I use it for.

I bought one of their recon drill kits years ago, the attachments are excellent for them. Especially the eccentric chuck which lets you screw right up next to a wall or inside cabinet.

I was excited seeing this post thinking I can score a CT36 vac for drywall sanding, until I see it's still almost $800 on sale. Thanks OP for getting me excited but really thank you for letting me knowing Festool do run sales.

I like the small size of the CT 15 but I would much rather prefer the other braided anti-static hose to the black hose being offered.

I'll edit to add a few more things: the other 3 drawbacks for the CT15 is the lack of hose storage, the lack of BT capability and the fact that you can't dock systainers on it. I used to have the CT36 and I loved the ability to have systainers on the top of it but you might not think it's that big of a deal.

Still a great vac, though. I'm honestly considering buying either the CT26 or CT36 as I miss having the vac when working on projects (currently just using a Ridgid shop vac connected to a Bosch hose).

That's a smoking hot deal on a Planex, half off. Now to annihilate these popcorn ceilings.

I picked up a CT15 as well. The only difference I saw between the CT15 and CT15E was the hose color.

Picked up the c18 and an empty systainer to put my Lrs accessories in. Can I use the same batteries from the festool carvex on the drills?
