not a great processor. It is good enough imo but effectively 2 generations old.

Just got mine.

1. Can confirm it has a touchscreen.
2. Laptop was in a nice zippered soft carry sleeve
3. Laptop looks & feels brand new. No signs of use at all. I went over every part of it, and the only thing I could find was a tiny hairline scratch next one of the feet.
4. Very fast, especially compared to my old 6-gen i5 Thinkpad.
5. Has some bloatware, need to uninstall.

Overall, great value for the money. Very satisfied.

This has alot of great features: USB C charging, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, a very solid processor, and a touchscreen. Great deal for the price!

As stated, mine is fine, thus far. So many, many people on SD have been "stuck" when purchasing them this time last year that I have decided to bash Gateway anytime I see a deal on such posted here on SD. Starting right now, I intend to check specifically for a Gateway posting most every time I come to SD, at least for a while. Perhaps others should consider doing likewise, so we will perhaps induce others not to buy Gateway.

How is the portability and usability of this, say for school to use OneNote (combined typing and stylus)? I have an old 15.6" ASUS and it's bigger than I'd like to carry around constantly, but manageable.

This is also 15.6" , size is the same. It's a matter of thickness and weight (which is in specs). Don't think this will be much smaller. But if you are looking for portability, you might want something smaller.

Got mine today. One dead pixel middle of screen seen when dark background present. It lights green, not actually dead. What should I do?

Touchscreen, free case, and USB-C charging was unexpected. Almost unheard of at this price.

It does feel a bit plasticy and cheap when typing and using the touchpad, but if that bothers you, you can spend 3x as much on something else.

Very capable Windows 11 device at Chromebook pricing.

I don't think I saw it mentioned but the 16gb ram is soldered and there's no way to add any more memory.

I had thought I saw somewhere that it was upgradable to 32gb.

Just got my laptop today. Overall happy with the purchase and it's an amazing deal for the price. Just was not aware that laptops do not come with a webcam by default. Would have been great to have one. But, all in all a very slick deal.

Update : It does have a webcam !!
