Actually yes they did, they fixed the drift issue. You can identify them by the serial number if yours ends at "A" you have the updated one , here's the website to know more about it. If you don't believe it google it, there's tons of resources and videos where they show the differences.

Do not buy extended warranty at gamestop people, remember they updated their policy and will give used items as replacement, the best warranty for controllers is best buy imo, brand new in store so you get it right away and no questions asked

I'm getting the same thing in Idaho. Something looks wonky thou so maybe it's a site issue... ETA it has now logged me out and I can't get back in. Maybe it is a site issue.

Careful, GameStops return policy bare is minimum. If you open the box It is essentially not returnable

Your link says they added a hidden upgrade. Is that hidden upgrade no drift? Lol. Weird that the article is from over a year ago and countless people still have drift develop. All old controllers? I don't think so
