I have this. My cats never use it. In for another one at this price.
At least it'll come in a cardboard box they'll love.
New business idea 💡, sell arm of couch cat scarcher. Or arm of couch cover that you can put over your couch.

It's just a glorified stratch pad, if only it had a platform for the cats to hang

Which one? Not that my cat will use it either. Arm of couch > any actual cat product

Doesn't look like it has the weight to support a cat scratching it. For those who posted they have one and the cat never uses it; Most likely you got a scratch post that wobbled and/or fell after the cat tried using it. After that, they won't trust it again and who can blame them? So if it doesn't support the weight of being tipped over, you'll need to modify it before letting the cat use it.

We have this also, are cats destroyed it, literally down to the cardboard core tube. They went as far as made a hole in the cardboard tube too. The base has some weight, so it is stable enough for a cat to climb which our cats do climb occasionally when chasing each other. We've been meaning to replace it. In for 3, thanks OP! These save our furniture!

We have this. Our cat ALWAYS uses it. You never know what a cat's going to like though.

The base keeps it solidly erect. Our cat uses it constantly and has about worn out the scratchy part. Your results may vary.

yea, encouraging your cats to scratch the couch sounds like a great idea.
