Some discrepancies I can see from the maintenance manual [hp.com] and spec page [hp.com]:
1) Webcam is 720p not 1080p 2) 230w power adapter instead of 280w (might be a plus) 3) 4070 is at 80w One of the HP KB article [hp.com] did say its TDP is 140 for 16-xf0xxx (not 16z-), so I don't know if there is any risk. There is NO second SSD slot. For some, it may be a problem. And, a HP sales guy did harshly mention that there will be a re-stocking fee if you return. |
According to this post, it does not have the thunderbolt 4 port they show in the product image.

ETA: Redid the order after checking my Citi card merchant offers. 8% off vs the 3% I get with online orders on my BoA card. Should net another ~$80 off. Under $1300 for the mini-led Transcend makes me a happy camper for a BF laptop shopping!

I had a little more money to play around with so I got the legion 7i pro with 32gb of ram and a 4080 for 1849 and I got like $425 cash back. So i got it down to around $1420, was originally on sale for 1999 but I was able to use my perksatwork login for an additional discount and then stack it with a $100 off coupon as well, plus the 25% cash back. The only downside is I had to order directly from Lenovo for this deal and the laptop won't be here until the 6th, but I'll be traveling abroad for all of December.
