Did you buy this using the hack successfully yourself?
I got one to work the other day on the m12 3/8 impact and told three other people including my son about it and all three were declined when trying to cancel the extra battery. I thought maybe they did something wrong and was denied twice myself, Once by text and the other by talking to an associate. She said that they are no longer able to cancel the free item for credit.

I did it, order the inflator for pickup at the store you want and the batteries for pickup at another store. Once you pickup the inflator call the other store and cancel the batteries.

It won't allow you to do this, this used to work but no longer does. Both items must go to the same location. Unless there's some trick to it.

incorrect. I literally just did it. I sent the batteries to another store and the tool to the closest HD. Will pick up the tool tomorrow and let them cancel the order from the other store.

Just worked for me. There were some locations I was unable to select likely because they didn't stock the item, or at least have any in stock.
