Personally in this price range I'd wait for the a16 TUF at bestbuy with 7600s. 99% SRGB screen, and much higher power gpu. it was $750 for the past few weeks.

This victus and the gigabyte are lower wattage version of the 4060.. plus I'm guessing the cooling is sub-par.

Such a shame, these gimped 4060, should be some sort of fraud, probably explains the elden ring at 40fps, i was reading about on one of these, when frame rate should be much higher.

Ntsc or similar anyone? I can do IPS/250nits/144hz but a washed out panel is a no go.
45% NTSC or around 60% sRGB

Looking at the numbers the 4060 75watt is on par with any 4050 thats at least 105watt cause Nvidia wattage capped all the 4050s even ones that state 140 watts at 105watt....
They are actually voltage limited and the 4050 maxes at ~90W and the 4070 at ~105W.

But if you want the best performance you need a TGP that is 15-25W higher than that, because dynamic boost is included in that number. When the CPU is working (like in a game) the GPU of a 75W TGP 4050 will be running only 50-60W.

There have been good deals on 4060 laptops, you just have to be quick. With a good display and full speed 4060, $900 has been about the cheapest. If you don't care much about the display, low $800s.

When 4070s can be had for under $1000, I would never spend that much on a 4060. Especially on a laptop thats to supplment my gaming when I am moving around, since I have my high end gaming desktop at home.

Does anyone know if the USB C display port connects to the GPU or the integrated graphics?

Found a possible better deal for those near Micro Center, display is 1440p and GPU is 130W, it is a 3060 with 6gb vram however.https://www.microcenter.com/produ...dian-black https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...l-g16-7620

To your point, I'm considering going the gaming Chromebook route. Something like the Acer G15 that is 120hz, qhd, 350 -ish nits and the benefits of better battery life than a traditional gaming laptop. Install Sunlight & Moonlight and stream off my home high end gaming PC.

Best to just stretch the budget to $810 and get this. Great performance and no compromises: https://slickdeals.net/f/17123725-dell-g15-15-6-fhd-ips-165hz-ryzen-7-7840hs-rtx-4060-16gb-ddr5-512gb-ssd-809-99?v=1&src=SiteSearch

I imagine it will go on sale again sooner than later, seems like the TUF line often goes up and back down again.

Another option is the Dell G15.. with CB and Amex offer it's currently just under $700 with taxes. AMD cpu instead, and ddr5, much better screen than this Victus..full power 4060.. It's main drawback is it's on the heavy side.. I'm tempted to snag one, but not sure I'd like such a chunky laptop.

Lol just posted right above you, I'm considering those 3 laptops 2 from microcenter, any feedback? looks to be all similar cost. Don't have amex so best I could do is CB, and the 10 percent coupon.

How is this compared to the Lenovo LOQ?
