Definitely there is a "right" way to burn any candle. Keep the wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch. Keep on a heat proof surface away from drafts or anything flammable. Burn your candle until you have an even, edge-to-edge melted pool of wax to avoid tunnelling. The best way to extinguish a lit candle is to use a wick dipper (or an old fork) to "dip" the lit wick back into the wax - the wick gets recoated in wax, and there's no smoke or discoloration of the cande/jar. Make sure to re-trim the wick each time!
And to add to that, 'warming' the candle is better than burning IMHO. Get a 20$ warmer and you are all set. Some benefits:

1. Biggest benefit - no more fire hazard inside the house, especially if you have pets or young kids.

2. You eliminate soot arising from burning and, in turn, the majority of health issues arising from (excessive) candle burning.

3. You dodge many problems with uneven wicks, thin wicks, maintenance of trimming wicks, tunneling, etc.

4. The candle aroma is clean and consistent.

5. And now slickdeal $$ perspective 😬 - You get so so so much more from warming a candle vs. burning them. To the point I'm bored of my candles not finishing 🤣. I don't have much excuse to buy new ones. It is incredible how many multiples of hours the same candle can keep throwing the aroma when warmed vs burned.

6. Some warmers come with timers and I find it convenient because you can set it and forget it vs the anxiety that comes with leaving a room with a candle on unattended and forgotten. Imagine warming a relaxing candle at night when you go to bed and you can doze off without having to stay awake and remember to extinguish the candle. Let the auto shut off do it for you.

Hope it helps.

Bath & Body Works is hosting their Annual Candle Day Event and offering All Bath & Body Works 3-Wick Candles on sale for $9.95 . Shipping is a $9.99 (if you're purchasing one candle), otherwise, shipping is a flat-rate $5.99 (for 2+ candles).

Rewards members shop first !

Candle day early access ALL DAY in stores and online Friday, DEC. 1st

everyone else can shop Saturday and Sunday.

No coupon is required to purchase this sale price in-stores. Offer cannot be combined with any other 3-Wick Candle promotions.
Limit of 18, 3-Wick Candles will be adjusted to $9.95 at checkout w/ promotional code, up to the limit. Offer valid while supplies last.

There is also a 10 off 30$ coupon for rewards members for the next two days using code
"PICKTHIS" it expires 12/1 at 5:59 am.

it may be possible to use this if candle day starts before 5:59am. this would however require candles to be shipped which is a fee. so this could possibly offset the shipping fee.

Rumor: Buy Online, Pick-up In-Store availability is predicted for the third and final day of the candle sale (Dec. 3).
Typically during Bath & Body Works Candle Day sale the retailer pauses their Buy online, Pick up in-store option. This is because candle inventory is moving fast, too fast for employees to keep up with filling online orders in-store. However, a Reddit user alleges that this year Buy online, Pick-up in-store will be available on the third and final day of the event, which is Sunday, Dec. 3. By this time most of the candle selection will be depleted and stores are likely to have a firmer hand on what they have in stock and what they don't. So it will be interesting to see if this actually does come to fruition in 2023.

Yes, and they actually do have a "Mahogany Teakwood Intense" that is even stronger with more fragrance oils. If you want the more masculine scented ones like that, Fresh Balsam, Flannel, Fireside, Cedar & Suede, and my personal favorite this time of year is Winter (to me it smells like being outside on a cold, snowy day).

I feel like the quality has gone downhill. None of the scents actually have a noticeable throw like years ago. The 'intense' labeled line are now just the average throw which works ok for smaller spaces. However, for a bigger room, it's almost more cost effective to just use a room spray every now and again.

I've noticed that anything with Spearmint, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, etc, is usually quite strong. Anything coffee themed also ends up being quite strong. PSL has a superb throw. Paris Cafe, personally to me, has obnoxiously high levels of throw even when not burning / warming.

Hope it helps.

I'm just guessing here, but the current $10 off $30 coupon that's running (code PICKTHIS) expires at 5:59 am on Friday, so I'll bet the candle day prices start at 6am. Would be awesome if they overlap though!

I think I saw 6am EST to start online (and there will be a virtual queue) which a commenter noted above is right when the current coupon expires Smilie
