Would not touch a sound bar without a subwoofer. I out mine under my mattress. Totally changes the experience

I was thinking about this system for my den...however wondering if a 3.1 system would make more sense given the weirdness of running in stereo. When my 5.1 amp system accidently trips to 2 channel stereo it sucks...the dialog becomes faint and mixed too much with the rest of the movie sounds.

Am I correct or just being weird?

Anyone have hands-on experience with this? I have an older Vizio soundbar and I abhor the way they handled volume control on it as it is just 10, or something like that, preset limits so it often ends up either too loud or too quiet.

It just has the decoder for Atmos and the lower Dolby formats. Without the decoder the sound would be uneven, like when the dialogue can't be heard but the sound effects are loud.

I just got an lg C3 for the bedroom and heard the sound quality from these sets aren't great. I just ordered a Vizio M213ad-K8B-RB from Amazon but refurbished for $110. This is tempting but I don't need a Subwoofer for the bedroom.

I currently have a Vizio SB36512 paired with a Vizio TV and I'll never buy Vizio again. Sound wise it is good, but the UI is terrible. The Vizio phone app keeps forgetting the devices. The TV doesn't remember the sound bar via the ARC port. There are more issues but these are the ones that are the most irritating.

Exact same issues here with an SB46514-F6. Now it has stopped outputting sound on any channel (ARC, optical, aux, etc) even after a factory reset.

Have a bad experience with the quality of Vizio products when it comes to them honoring their warranty, never again.

I have one in my bedroom and it's perfect for that space. Works well with the Vizio TV and Roku that I have.

I went through 2 different Vizio soundbars before I got smart and bought a Sony one.
I'm now having zero connection issues. I will never, never buy a Vizio one again. Ever!!

I picked this up a few months ago when they had it on sale for this price. For $100 it's a good deal. There are a few presets for the EQ and you can adjust voice, bass, treble, and the subwoofer separately.
