You got cheap but you didn't get quality. That's how Ninja rolls.

This Cuisinart offering is a lot better VALUE!
Not dissing on Ninja, but like KitchenAid is the best brand for stand mixers, Cuisinart is the top brand for food processors.
If anyone is just getting started decking out their kitchen, here's what I wish I knew when I started. I own a food processor, but it very rarely gets used and I generally regret buying it. A stand mixer is much better for dough; a quality blender is much better for grinding, and a mandoline is much better for slicing or other bulk precision cuts. In fact, with the slicing/grating feature on my food processor*, pieces end up getting stuck between the bowl lid and the rapidly spinning blade, since there is always some clearance between the blades and the push tool making it impossible to push the food down through the blades completely. Massively annoying.

*Disclaimer, my FP is a Kitchenaid.

These are "great for grating" coleslaw, potato latkas and so on!

Price is good!

That 550w or less motor won't handle much though. Never had any quality issues with Ninja myself.

Actually 550 watts in a food processor goes quite far... I don't think most people would be limited at all by that amount of power in a food processor... I never have been over 15 years with my 600 watt KitchenAid 11 cup food processor.

Which is quite interesting because that wattage in a full size blender would be quite marginal at best.

I'm glad you've had good experience with Ninja products so far and hope your luck continues and you enjoy and get a long use out of your new food processor. God knows the planet could use less throw away items in the world.

Ninja is 6x louder. Every 3db doubles in loudness. Cuisinart is so much quieter.

Use mine all the time, and i love it. The only downside is, they suck cleaning, but that's every food processor I've ever used.
