The negative reviews on these bikes always scare me off. Most involve poor setup and assembly of the bike by Dick's staff. It seems to be hit or miss. Some also mention poor quality parts (cheap bolts, etc.).

EDIT: not sure why people thumbs down my comment. As of this writing, there are less than 2 pages of comments and we have several owners saying they had issues with the bike; gears changing on their own, misaligned wheel, crank arm had to be tightened, and one guy saying the bike fell apart on him.
We own 4 of these. They're great and their ridden fairly rough. You won't find a better bike for 300 but of course you will for 3000
Interesting these are finally back to pre covid pricing.

now if real estate could follow suit...

We got one of these Thanksgiving week, nice bike for $300 but would not spend more. The components and fork are all entry level and the tires seem cheap. Still it's probably the best bike we looked at in the $300 range. No assembly issues but those certainly vary by store. The only thing I had to do is lube the chain and gears after we got home. The manager who did final checks on the bike before we took it said the price is often $400 but goes down to $300 or up to $500 several times a year.

your asking for trouble if you buy this bike, don't say we didn't warn ya..
Kind of depends on what you are using it for, eh?

Ive own the aggressor for about 5 years. It's been a great bike for someone who rides maybe 8-10 times a year. Gears sometime change when I don't want them to...but overall, a great bike and I would buy it again at this price point.

Well said, I agree. I wish I could get the loud decals off, this bike has a clear coat over them. Pretty solid otherwise.

Bought one of these earlier this year for $300. I average about 75 miles per week. I had to tighten the crank arm and I replaced the pedals with some dual bearing metal ones from Amazon. Otherwise it's been a great bike.
