Just buy a lid separately, this is stupid cheap

I just got this deal and was having some issues with getting high heat at first, seems the leveling nuts raise it a bit too far and felt too much heat went right out the sides and back instead of up through the plate. Removed the leveling nuts and now gets really hot and will smoke the oil on top which it couldn't do before. Will just level under the wheels as needed and add a few washers under the hot plate to fine tune.

I got a charbroil flat top grill a couple of months ago and I love it. So much of my cooking can be done on it ...it makes pancakes like a factory. I stir fry veggies, grill fish, all kinds of meats. I've never used a grill regularly but I use the flattop all the time.

Solid price but many reviews about it not getting hot enough to sear or cook certain types of food. Can't help but wonder if they're trying to clear these out.

can that be a gas tank issue? that'd be a bummer if I won't be able to heat it up enough :/
