You can manage the balance of any cards online. You can transfer and consolidate down to fewer cards. Max balance per card is $1000 I believe.
You can add a gift card to your Apple, Google or Samsung wallet and pay with NFC just about everywhere in the park. Food, souvenirs, experiences, reservations, you name it.
You can pay for tickets online or over the phone. You can pay for hotel reservations or DVC dues.
If you're doing Disney, these are as good as cash.
Chase Freedom has 5% cashback at wholesale clubs right now also.

Want to pay for your Disney hotel reservation? Pay with a gift card online or over the phone.
Want to pay for your park ticket with your gift card? Can do, online or over the phone.
But what about restaurants, in-app purchases, or booze at Club 33? Yes, yes, and ... probably (take me next time and I'll help you find out).
First, go to the shopDisney website and buy a small e-gift card denomination; send it to yourself. When the email arrives, there is an option at the bottom to add it to your Apple Wallet.
Once you've done that, go to the Disney gift card website (not the shopping site) and add your shopDisney e-gift card and the Costco gift card information to your account there . The site does not work like a wallet, you'll be using it to transfer the amount on the Costco gift card to the shopDisney card in your Apple Wallet, or vice versa if you need to. You now have a useable gift card with the amount you wanted in your Apple Wallet.
fyi, the denomination on the gift card image in your Apple Wallet won't change, but you can keep track of the balance on the Disney gift card website.
Yeah Disney is obscene. Random dates in summer for 5 people, 5 days is going to cost *around* $5000.
You can save some money by buying GC, there are the occasional deals like this but realistically the max you can reliably scrape is about 5%.
We've been to FL and CA multiple times and even Shanghai the year it opened, and I think we're good with Disney, meaning we'd rather spend our money elsewhere and get a more unique experience. I checked about a year ago and one could get tickets/room @ Universal, at their top tier hotel with their highest line skipping pass (which included restaurants @ Universal, something the Disney equivalent didn't have) for less than a low-tier hotel @ Disney.

The last time we went was a couple years ago. The downside to GC's is they were a PITA for ordering food ahead, the app didn't save GC info and you'd have to enter it every single time. There was a workaround if you were staying on property - the hotel could load GC balance to your hotel account, effectively putting the GC on your magic band/online account. Then you just use the magic band/account balance. The other issue with GC is that when you're issued a refund it goes back to the GC, so don't throw away the cards.
Do you have another member in the household? For us, my wife is the second cardholder, and even though her membership is through mine, she has a different member number and a different website login because of it. I am wondering if Costco recognizes these as 2 different memberships for ordering purposes?

Cards were emailed and loaded onto our physical cards using the card transfer option.
Costco's membership purchase limits are generally 24 hours, so if it says "limit 2" that's 2 every 24 hours.
I'm thinking they stack.
That's the issue with BJ's - they offer Disney GC all the time at a face value discount, but member and CC CB don't stack with it, or at least they didn't the last time I bought a bunch of Disney GC.
Anyone else having issues?
