At these kind of prices I wouldn't mind trying one out next time. Battery not a big deal if it's pretty much only plugged in. I mean charging outside in the clear with an extension cord isn't a big deal to me…but def don't want a battery than can go spontaneously at any time. Potential fire itself is bad enough. Runaway battery fire that pretty much can't do anything but let it burn itself out? A big no thank you there if that's the case!
you also have to consider: the Mukkpet. (wt f kind of name is that?)
- is heavier at 70ish lb vs the 50ish lb of the Heybike.
- the tire is fat tie so there is more resistance and drag vs skinny tires.
so the largger battery and stronger motor is to compensate for those two.
with that two I don't know if it would really per form much better in real world.
IMHO unless you plan to ride alot on dirt/gravel road and possibilly through snow. I would stick to the heybike.
though with the inclusion of the back cargo rack and fenders the Mukkpet has a plus on that .expecially if you plan put a box on the back and deliver food.

this is a good video perspective on FAT tire and vs regular

Glad jumped on the deal as price jumped back to $579.
For the price, if it doesn't pan out, I can give it to one of the kids.
Thanks for the follow-up.
I do mostly road biking and I see these lazy assholes just driving around like idiots on these. But off road, you want this.
