the Oculus part is just a super short "custom-length" cable that you don't have to use at all
you can just use this like a normal headset
something I find a bit annoying when using it with the Xbox controller is how long the cable is and I have to put the excess beside me on the couch or in my lap, and sometimes I sit on it on accident
detachable mic is very nice.
good sound quality for listening to music.
the control on the cable with the volume dial and the mic mute is very convenient and nice to use.
Sometimes when I plug the mic in but the headset is already connected to my computer, the mic doesn't work. I have to unplug the audio cable from my headphones and plug it back in and then it works. This is basically my only main issue but it is very trivial
Like I said this is my first headset so I am not too experienced with them but IMO for this price the headset is really good and I would highly recommend it
i cant speak for how it sounds since im no audiophile, but i can say they were as nice as my old corsair hs60 pro.
Can't seem to beat it compared to other options. Seems like sturdy construction (aluminum/steel usage at crucial points) that beats similarly priced competitors's often reviews mentioning one ear goes out or damaged connection between headband with speakers. Detachable microphone, 50mm drivers, etc makes the value at $43.xx after taxes excellent.
