I have this E-Steer and I love the thing! All EGO products are great and so is this ride on. Always wanted a zero turn, but never wanted to deal with the 2 individual arms, so when this was announced, I was one of the first to sang it.I have just under an acre of land, and when done mowing, I have just over 60% left of battery. I also picked up the bagger for this fall and that was also a great purchase. All in all, I'm VERY happy with the purchase and will never go back to gas engines if I can help it!
I had the version with the regular zero turn controller and while I liked it, I returned it.
The price wasn't the issue but the power was. Similar priced gas powered zero turn are more powerful. It was unable to cut thru thick grass. I have all things EGO for my lawn equipment but I ended up going back to gas for the zero turn.
Maybe a couple more iterations like their lawn mowers, they can be equal or better than gas.
In for six. Thanks.

I have the regular 42" Z6 without the E-steer Yes, it suffers from a lack of power and poor cut quality when the grass is growing in the spring. As a result I have to cut every 5 days (tall fescue lawn). It makes up for it in convenience, I can just go out and mow the lawn or mulch up leaves in the fall whenever I have time, and don't need to change clothes due to gas smell.
The E-steer looks stupid I would not get this variant.

This thing to kids toy it's not powerful enough for a riding mower to be worth what they are asking for it I think this should be more like $2,500 bucks just think when you have to replace four 12ah batteries it over $2,000 every 4 years what a joke

I've used one, the e-steer is actually pretty nice. The price point just isn't there though, comparable gas powered would be closer to 3000 so not quite there for me to jump yet.

In for the batteries. But seriously do you charge the batteries in the unit because removing, charging and replacing four 12ah batteries seems like a chore.

The mower has a plug unit similar to EV cars that charges the batteries in place.

I just had to replace an EGO battery for my leaf blower and wanted to vomit at the cost. I cannot fathom the depression and buyer's remorse I would experience having to replace the batteries for this beast on the reg. HARD pass.

I want it…as a gift. Otherwise hard to legitimize the cost compared to other mowers.
