I originally bought the 16 m3 pro for 2249, cancelled that and bought this instead for $400 less.

Good deal. Note that you can also get the 1 TB version for $2,099.00, which is excellent for Apple.

Edit: May be sold out now.

Probably depends what you use it for. Worth the value compared to retail? Or for this year's prices. The RAM and storage isn't extremely high, but it has some power.
Probably great for some graphics design. XDR screen. Not sure exactly what you meant.

Well, I didn't check the battery life. Some MacBook Air has some great battery life.

Isn't the M3 Pro going for $1800?

Everytime I click the 1TB it goes back to the 512gb. Wonder if it's sold out?

I think so. I just checked it again and the "sale" designation for the 1TB version is no longer there.

makes no sense to buy this over that 14 m3 pro at bestbuy, unless you absolutely want the big screen
I think the 16" is the better deal, bigger screen, bigger and longer lasting battery, better speakers, better cooling, faster GPU, m2 16" mbp has 1 more CPU core, and 5 more GPU cores versus the m3 14" mbp.

And I got the 16 inch M1 Pro for $1250 from the Woot deal, Apple Certified Refurbished.

2 fewer CPU cores, 3 fewer GPU cores, but otherwise similar, for $600 less.

M1 & M2 are both 5nm silicon, and the M2 actually has a much slower SSD, & slightly less powerful speakers, according to testing by YouTuber Max Tech, who's considered a subject matter expert on all things Apple.

That said, the M1 is still the best value today.

Honestly, an m3 pro is going to be a faster machine at this price. Unless you need a 16" mbp right now, you'd be better off waiting. Also Adorama has a terrible laptop return policy.

I agree the 16 M1 refurb is the better value for $1250. I prefer new and willing to pay extra for the m2 variant.
