Not sure when they changed the box, but it must be fairly recent (last couple years).
Pricing skyrocketed during the pandemic. But this deal is also Amazon, so they tend to inflated prices as well. I always bought it when it was in sale for a buck a box, but that was pre pandemic.

You can also make the Jello according to package instructions, pour into the pint, freeze & spin. I've done this before a medical procedure when I needed to fast with clear. Very surprised it worked so amazingly.

I haven't seen the new design in the grocery stores, both the 3 and 6oz versions. Regularly on sale for 1.25/3oz to 1.50/6oz. Store brand 3oz boxes are .89 usually. Too bad this deal is cherry only.
