I was able to get it done. You have to call in to cancel your current account. The cancellation order takes less an hour to finalize. Once it's cancelled, your address will be eligible to sign up for a new account. You can use the same name and SSN, just create a new FiOS online account after you place your order.

Actual disconnection came in less than 5 minutes after my call with support ended. But the cancellation order was still shown as pending for around an hour I think? Once the cancellation order went through, FiOS released the address to be eligible for new service again. You just have to wait a little before you can sign up again. Otherwise, even if you select you're signing up for a second service, their system will block your new order as there's another order (cancellation) pending.

I'd say you can get the new service activated in about 40 minutes from the moment you hang up your phone with phone support for cancellation.

The xbox that i redeemed on 12/29 shipped yesterday. As others have said, i had no way to status what was happening - just this shipping email out of the blue.

Has anyone actually gotten the amazon gift card? Does it come by email or the mail? I redeemed it on the 26th but haven't received it. I did finally receive the xbox.

it was an email cam after a day, consider checking spam emails as well

How do we redeem verizon gift card for paying bill of internet....there is no option on app or website....is it that verizon gift card ( only card number and pin) can be used for accessories only? Then it's a fraud...100$ and 50$:spend on accessories...Frown

You need to add it as a payment method to pay the bill. I just did it yesterday

Got the Xbox series x today and also got the Amazon $200 card, I asked for the 6 months of Disney but didn't see a place to get that.... Looks. Like I'm getting the Moca adaptor instead

So after royally f*cking up my order due to multiple customer service reps messing with it, I was finally told that while the Amazon GC is on my "profile", for some reason I'm not able to redeem it and they will be issuing me a $200 Verizon Card to be used towards anything at Verizon. I confirmed that usage of it towards paying my bill does not offset the $10 autopay, so I guess that's fine. The amount of times I had to call in to get this dealt with is absurd, with false promises of things being fixed, "commitments" to have follow-up calls that never came, and then there was finally a great customer service representative who really took ownership of the issue. Apparently my XBox order still hasn't shipped and they are awaiting fulfillment from a 3rd party supplier, but it will ship. I was also given $50 credit towards my prior Verizon account bill, since he knew I left, specifically to resign up, and was able to slide in a credit for that last bill.

Ironically, my service has been active since a few hours after cancelling the prior service and its been rock solid. However, if this had been my first rodeo with Verizon, the disastrous customer support would have likely scared me off.

Glad I took a screenshot when I had it on my acct back when I had my order set up; both the adapter and the $50 xbox gc was supposed to come in on 1/12/24. When it was time to redeem; the xbox GC and adapter was no longer showing on my account. Spent an hour with an offshore rep over the weekend trying to get the items back on my acct and was told I needed to wait another 6 months for it. Finally, I saw only the GC on my acct with redeem date of June. Called back during business day/hours and spoke to a onshore rep. He was able to get the GC on my account but had issues with the adapter. Offered a $100 VZ gc to replace the adapter. I haven't seen it yet ... Let's see.
