End of November, there was an external 2TB USB-C 3.2 1050 MB/s fromPC Connection [connection.com] for $69.95. This is about the same price for half the space (but faster). Questionable if this is a deal or not.

I got this 3 months back from Costco at this price, work great, no issues whatsoever. I also use Lexar memory cards for camera.
This is a great price given that this is 2000mbps read and write, most others are 1000mbps around this price during deals. I haven't been able to find this speed and a known brand at this price yet.

Curious, what are the use cases for Model Y storage upgrades?

I can say this… never buy a thumb drive where the drive and ring clip are not one piece. Long ago I went to plug in my drive (happened to be a Lexar) and only the shell was attached to my key ring. Never found the drive part.

is this type of drive a good way to offload pics from my iPhone 15 (USB-C?) I use Google Photos but I also like to have my own personal backup. I also have a 10TB western digital drive that is formatted for PC. Can I just hook that drive up to my router or is this a better way to do it. It would fill up pretty quick though...

Was wondering the same thing. I may try it. For some reason it's not deleting old footage and the 128gb keeps filling up and sentry mode stops recording. Many use the Samsung T7. Just don't know how big this is and how much room it'll take in the glove box and if it'll move around while driving

Note: The Lexar portable SSD is a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps) device with read and write speeds up to 2000MB/s. However, the achieved speed also depends on your host device. If your host device doesn't support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, then the product will not have the same speed.
Thanks for letting us know. My cousin just bought this and was surprised he wasn't getting those speeds with his Macbook Air. I was trying to help him out and your comment explained why he was getting closer to 830mbs write speed vs closer to 2000

How does this compare to the SanDisk 1TB Costco has at $65 (https://www.costco.com/sandisk-1t...75415.html) ? Obviously getting more memory with the thumb drive included, and faster speeds, but how do the two brands compare. Newbie here.
