Yeah, I would also get the standard edition, just wanted to post it as a deal, but saw that it already exists, so it would be kind of a duplicate anyway.

If epic wants to fight steam, should have teamed with ally rog or legion go and create an epic OS that runs its games. Buy games but to have a hardware that facilitates the ability to play games that's what they need. A hardware platform.

By getting the DLC skins, it gives you access to a few Sith, Darkside, and Bounty Hunter characters, which can help speed up some of the initial progression since you can get more collected in the open world areas. Its not necessary, but my son appreciated it since he could immediately use a Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and the Emperor character variant from the start of the game, instead of needing to progress up to a certain story mission, then save 200k+ lego's to unlock the character.

I decided no for the same reason that the other user posted. All the extra money gets you is the dlc, which is just extra characters. There are no new levels, and I'm not crazy about playing as different characters so I didn't bother spending the extra money.
