They are a new line from Oral B that is more similar to Philips Sonicare with sonic vibrations and rotation, not just rotation. In my opinion, it's far superior to the older Oral B type.
I only recently got the iO 4, through a Secondipity sale which was posted here in early October. So far I really like it; I was worried that the sensation would be unbearable for me (autism causes certain physical sensitivities for me), but I've gotten used to the vibrations. My dentist has always recommended electric toothbrushes, so I guess they do the job better.

From everything I'd read, there are a ton of counterfeit replacement heads on Amazon and eBay and such sites, and the best way to buy them is retail through trusted stores, though they are regularly priced at least $10 a head. So I went ahead and bought these and posted here despite my hesitation to do so (I rarely spot a proper deal),

I'm not familiar with the IO series. Before OP deal, they look to me much more expensive than the previous oral b brush heads. Is there a reason?

If you don't see blue bristles and see only white then it's time to replace the head.

I have a Genius X and an IO7. There are pros and cons to both IMO. I do think the IO feels like it may give a slightly better cleaning, but I like the narrower brush heads of the older models better and they also cost a fair amount less. My dentist repeatedly compliments my brushing so they both definitely do the job.

This is a good price on IO replacement brush heads.

Does it fit old oral B electric brushes from a few years so? Or as the name indicates, only the specific "IO" brushes? Thanks!

From a hygiene standpoint it's a bit questionable however the real issue is the likely fraying of the bristles, making them way less effective at cleaning. Every 3 months is the standard replacement schedule.

Great price. I let these go about four months between refills, and still get an incredible cleaning.

Have you removed the brush head and cleaned the base of the connector at least?
