A year or so ago a store was clearancing out the Fruit Loop Glycerin 20s for like $70. Being a dad in his 40s, I thought, WTF, I don't care if someone thinks these shoes look stupid. I hadn't owned Brooks (or any type of nice running shoe before) so I decided to try them at my local Academy. It was like walking on clouds, I couldn't believe it - especially in comparison to my normal Hey Dude no-support shoes.

I picked a pair up and absolutely love them. I have also received a number of compliments on them from a wide age range of people, including some girls in their 20s who struck up a conversation in the airport about them. It felt pretty good.

be glad it didn't! It was a giant hassle to get a refund when they told me the shoes were out of stock. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my CC company. crappy customer service!
