Coming from an AT&T router + a single TP Link access point and upgrading to whatever is latest to the market.
Looked at 2 & 3-station meshed wifi networks that were WiFi 7 that was in the range of $700 with whatever wired backbone technology and however many multi-gigabits of physical ports per station. Then eventually worked my way down on what was available on Amazon & Best Buy doing all sorts of comparisons.
Eventually I saw this set on sale at Costco and settled on this since it's really more than what I need. I hooked it up 2 days ago and the solution has been working great.

That being said though, the wifi coverage throughout my house has improved. I used to have spotty coverage out by the street (opposite end of the house from the garage) and now I can sit in my car that's parked there and watch youtube videos with no issues.
I don't game anymore so I don't need some high bandwidth/low latency router, but my wife does work from home running code that she creates so that needs a strong and consistent wired connection. I am on Teams a lot during the work day. At night, there's a good bit of streaming that goes on. We've got a somewhat smart home with various degrees of IoT equipment and security and baby monitor signals being uploaded and downloaded to/from the cloud.
This mesh system is a noticeable upgrade that solved my original pain point (very week garage wifi coverage), with the best bang for the buck, while being somewhat futureproof (Wifi 6E) for at least a couple more years. Set up was pretty easy as well plus that Costco return policy just in case.
