An additional thing to consider. Around Christmas time I make sure to get as many of my purchases with no-rush shipping as possible. We don't stream Amazon videos that often and are not really app buying people. Ordinarily no rush credits would expire on us but when this deal rolls around each year, the non-gift card version is also discounted but you can apply your no-rush credits to it.

In a case like mine, the better deal is to forego the $10 gift card and instead use your Amazon no-rush credit bonus. Mine this year was $27 which means I was able to order Home and Business for $51 after tax.
FYI

Hi there,

We're reaching out to our TurboTax Desktop customers to share an important change to how you'll install and activate your software this upcoming 2023 tax season.

To install and activate TurboTax 2023 on your computer, you'll be prompted to sign in to your existing Intuit Account (or create an account if you don't already have one) before entering your license code. The software won't install unless you sign in to your Intuit Account online. Importantly, your product license code can only be associated with one Intuit Account.

Your license code will then be stored in your Intuit Account, should you need to install the software again.
just a heads up this triggered the "Amazon Digital Downloads" amex offer for me if you wanted to double dip: https://slickdeals.net/f/17168098-select-amex-cards-spend-10-and-get-5-back-on-amazon-digital-purchases?src=SiteSearch

Not sure if this is considered a "life hack" or what, but if you check out from Amazon with a credit card but select the wrong billing address, it'll usually check out fine and submit the two orders (discounted TurboTax, $10 AGC). However, the bank will decline shortly after, so the two separate orders will require updated payment info. At that point I just leave the order for the gift card unpaid, and I update the TurboTax order to pay with gift card.

I get the discounted TurboTax without having to buy the gift card, and as an added bonus I can use a gift card to pay, which you normally can't do as the original purchase includes a gift card.

I imagine this depends on the bank involved (I use a Chase Visa cc), but let me know if this works for you.
Interesting "hack" but I would never go through that trouble because the $10 gift card is as good as cash to me. I just immediately add it to my gift card balance when I get it.

But maybe there are other situations where this "hack" might be more useful.

I have been reading the posts but I still haven't found a clear answer.

I am sharing TT with my in-laws. 5 included e-file is enough for us. Previously, I just share the license key. Now, should I share my intuit account or create a dummy account to share?

Previous years, I have to use Intuit account to e-File from Desktop. Is it still the same? Can the Intuit account I use to install different from the one I use for e-File?

Costco is similar with 10$ in app credit if u want that route instead
I'm kinda late but don't go Costco route this year. Their logistics is all screwed up at this time. I ordered and haven't received the download link. Some reviews also reporting same.
