    Deluxe Desktop does stock transaction downloads you do not need premier desktop. Deluxe ONLINE version doesnt handle stocks and you need Premier ONLINE for stock transactions. Intuit does this on purpose to confuse people.

    Thanks for all the answers, fellow slickdealers! I have purchased the digital version instead. Between the tax on physical version and no rush credit I had it was about $10 cheaper to go that route.

    I figured it out; I was 1 penny short of $35 for free shipping, so I added Reach dental floss. The free shipping option reappeared.

    Fidelity users make sure they aren't giving it to you before buying this. I can buy the PC version for $5 or do online for free thanks to them. Premier at that.

    I've used Freetaxusa for several years and had a good experience. That said, my side hustle made enough $ this year that I want to be sure I document it for minimum tax impact. Which version of of TurboTax would be good for a side hustle of ~$5k?
