That's a good deal on the 600 light tree. I wanted one for the past couple years but could only find the 435 light ones for $199 over the past couple years.

Does this one support HomeKit? Good deal, was $350 the last few days. Now to decide if this is going to be better than the big lots deal from the other day. This one has ~1000 more tips and 60 more lights, for $20 less. But based on some previous threads from previous years on this tree, someone commented that this tree is made by Polygroup and is licensed to use twinkly lights, maybe is cheaper quality than official ones and doesn't work exactly the same in their app etc. I'm curious if anyone can weigh in on that.

how does this 9 foot version compare to this GE tree I got from Lowes? Im guessing its better, only metric that seems to be better on the GE is the 1000 lights

You're right. It's PE tips that are nice. Got them mixed up.

FYI
The 7.5 ft. Swiss Mountain Spruce is crafted with care, boasting a lush blend of 40.49% PVC and 59.51% PE

I'm pretty sure these won't be HomeKit capable. I researched this last year with Polygroup.

Wonder if it's the same with the gen 2 twinkly lights?

The gen 2 twinkly lights are HomeKit. These are just led lights running the twinkly software. Still a good deal if you don't want HomeKit, but the lights are going to be a little bit cheaper made.

Why are the reviews so bad on this model? Other Twinkly tree deals had decent reviews. Are all twinkly created equal or are crappy vendors just taking the lights and strapping them onto their crappy trees?

Here an example review:
I got this tree in 2020 after looking at all the options, It is a great looking tree and the option of having pre installed smart twinkly lights was amazing, except for the fact that all the hardware is made by Polygroup, not Twinkly. Had issues with it since day one, twinkly could not help since it's not their hardware and Polygroup would not do anything to help. 2023 it is completely broken now and they can't help because they don't have parts in stock. Again, nothing they can do to help.

I find this all so confusing… like on the manual (linked on the Home Depot page) it says when you set them up in the twinkly app to select generation 2
