This is the Ring Wired Doorbell, which is their lowest priced doorbell introduced in 2021. If you watch some of the YouTube reviews on this model, it gets fairly great reviews and is "value priced" new at around $65.00.
The other thing that I should mention is that all of Ring's other wired doorbells require a 16V-24V transformer (you can go with less voltage, but then the wires are only used to trickle charge the battery). This doorbell fully runs on as little as 10V.
I have a 12V transformer which made me return my Ring Pro 2 due to the 16V requirement (and the fact that I couldn't find my transformer to upgrade it to save my life).
Hard to beat at $19.99

Nope, unfortunately this will not work with your existing chime. I have standardized on the Eufy ecosystem of security cameras, including their doorbell and it also doesn't work with my chime. I find using the Amazon Echo devices scattered throughout my house to be an effective alternative (in fact, it's a MORE effective replacement since I have Echo devices in different parts of my home, versus my single, centrally located doorbell chime).
You can also purchase a remote chime that you plug-in to a wall outlet.
But yeah, if using your existing doorbell chime is a "must have" feature, then this is not the product for you.
Free Subscription Plan and Recordings
And regarding recordings, the free plan does not allow for ANY recordings on the free service. You get a 30 day trial to try things out, but after the trial the doorbell will only give you realtime benefits without a subscription.
My personal plan is to use my existing Eufy cameras for my time-shifted recording needs (I have a Eufy camera near my doorway). My new Ring Wired doorbell will only be used for realtime notifications and realtime video when someone rings or moves near my doorbell.
As much of a Eufy fan as I am, simply put: No one can come close to Ring's tight integration with Amazon Echo. I have my parents on a Ring/Amazon Echo solution and it works flawlessly and immediately. They only have the need for realtime video so they know whether to answer the door or not, so they have no subscription.
I'll try the install during the work week when things aren't too busy.
Reading and watching a bunch of reviews and it appears that this is a loss leader (and a great value) from Amazon/Ring. The device is smaller and, as a result, better looking in my opinion than the Ring Pro and Ring Pro 2, but they do cripple it by not having low-light color video (only B&W nighttime and low light video) and no automatic responses. Both of these features I do not use on my current full featured doorbell anyway. And, as already mentioned, it won't work with your original home doorbell chime, but can either purchase a plug-in wireless chime from Ring or use an Echo or Echo Show as a chime(s).
Also, to keep the cost down, they don't include any of the angle mounts which must be purchased separately if you need them.
Compared to the Ring Pro, the video aspect ratio and resolution is identical, though the recorded video is 15fps as compared to 20fps. It obviously does not have the "full head-to-toe" aspect ratio of the Ring Pro 2.
