To each their own, but I love simple little bags like this for the gym. I don't like keeping my phone and keys in hip pocket b/c dumbbells rest there for a lot of lifts, or they can fall out when I'm doing presses. But small cross body bags are just big enough for your phone, keys, earbuds case, and your wallet if needed. You can slip to your back when you're curling, to your front when your pressing, and hang it on the rack when you squatting and dead lifting.

They're essentially modern fanny packs, and I'm here for it!
