For the caviar amateurs, this is a great deal from a reputable white sturgeon caviar producer. Retail is $300 for that amount (they have discounts from time to time ordering directly from them but it never gets anywhere near that low).
Been ordering that particular caviar from Tsar Nicoulai for years but only recently found that Costco was selling it so I was extremely stoked Smilie (it even comes with a mother of pearl spoon, tote and tin opener.).

For the caviar amateurs,
Is this me? I only bought caviar once, and the advice I got was to start with a "cheap" type. So I bought some "cheap" stuff. It did not impress me to go further. Maybe a decent caviar requires a few bucks spent on the crackers. Or whatever adjunctive one needs to appreciate the finesse of the caviar.

When we are discussing snacks (not food) in the super high price ranges, I don't see how the buyers will be fishing for deals. If they want it, they will buy it. Do billionaires inquire about the hourly costs of their Gulfstreams or helicopters? I think not.

FWIW, I bought, maintained, and flew my C150 to get my PPSEL, even though I AM NOT in the wealthy class.

So I once bought caviar, but I probably won't again. And if I had to choose between caviar and flying, I would choose to fly. They are both expensive. For What It's Worth (FWIW).

Another example of Costco's never-ending quest to separate the nouveau riche from their money.
