The blower features a variable speed trigger and high/low speed settings for increased control. The high setting is for the most demanding applications and low is optimized for clearing debris from flower beds without moving mulch. The lock on button allows the blower to be locked on to full throttle, so the operating hand can be relaxed reducing fatigue. It's ok for small jobs. Much lighter than my ego blowers (530 cfm and 765 cfm models), but also noticeably less power. Variable speed trigger is nice. If you are mostly clearing hard surfaces or blowing leaves across a dry lawn (smallish areas) it should work fine. 8 ah or larger battery is a must for any kind of decent run time. I don't think it would be a significant difference from your current ryobi.

Thank you. It looks identical to the makita blower I bought my dad last yr and my ryobi does just as good as his makita. I think I paid $69 for my ryobi blower. Its been great for our deck

Not a shill. Never had access to post, but found out I had to confirm my email. Now I posted. Never really commented, bucause no reason to.
The ego line is not that good, and that's coming from a tool rep. Plus, you have to send it to Canada to have it serviced. Unless you plan on using all their products for yard work, you're better off getting into a different ecosystem.
