Promos have dried up over the years. Whatever 5$ burgers they do once in a while are strictly for Classic Smash. They clearly disallow substitution to black bean patty, making it a vegetarian-unfriendly promo. This time, they're saying it is allowed. Yayy!
I don't think it would combine with the 5 off 20 they emailed me. Else, 25% off GC + 5 off 20 + 5$ burger would have given me 4 burgers for 11.25$ or 2.8$ each. It would still be decent for 3.75$ each.

I also missed out on that smash pass. 100 burgers for $100 I think it was.
Corporate greed got the best of most of these fast and fast casual places. Perhaps it's a sign of lower prices in the future?
